I tend to run around with a laptop that contains a whole bunch of Virtual Machines for my SharePoint work. The latest bunch are running the SharePoint 2013 Beta release which really doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seem to take too kindly to having the VM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s suspended on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

The problem seems to lie with the security context. Because the servers get suspended regularly and then brought back to life, VMWare tools synchronizes the clocks and this seems to upset the security validation in SharePoint.<\/p>\n

As this is a development server, we can simply turn off the security validation option for each Web Application in Central admin (Manage Web Applications, General Settings), IIS Reset and then reconnect to our site.<\/p>\n
